At Spicewood Springs Cat Hospital, we hold ourselves to the same high standards of care that have defined our original veterinary clinic for over five decades — with a focus exclusively on cats.

From kittenhood through the senior years, our goal is to help your cat thrive through proactive, preventive care in the heart of northwest Austin. That includes everything from wellness visits to nutrition guidance and behavioral support.

When your cat isn’t feeling well, we’re here with compassionate, feline-focused care. Our specialty feline clinic offers a full range of diagnostics and treatment options, and our team is trained to reduce stress and provide a calm, cat-friendly environment. We also accommodate daytime emergencies during normal business hours.

Opened in October 2021, Spicewood Springs Cat Hospital was created to give cats the dedicated care they deserve, in a setting designed just for them. We are privately owned and independently operated, giving us full control over how we practice feline veterinary medicine and care for our patients.

Our Practice’s History

Spicewood Springs Cat Hospital was founded by Dr. Benaryeh as a natural extension of his work at Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital, a trusted Austin practice established in 1970 by Dr. James Hughes. The two doctors share an ongoing friendship and a common philosophy: that veterinary care should be both advanced and personal.

Just a half mile from our original location, our cat-only facility is designed to be quieter, calmer, and more comfortable for our feline patients. Whether you’re coming in for a routine exam or something more complex, we’re here to care for your cat like family, with the same values of trust, continuity, and compassion that have defined our practice for generations.
