PRACTICE MANAGER

Sarah has always had a soft spot for animals and has worked in the veterinary industry for over 20 years. She started working for Spicewood Springs in 2006 as a receptionist and became the Practice Manager of both Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital and Spicewood Springs Cat Hospital in 2021. Sarah enjoys spending time with her two kids, gardening, and traveling.

Sarah W

Lead Technician & Inventory/Equipment Manager

Sarah is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has been with SSAH since 2013 in a variety of roles, but currently manages the inventory for both hospitals and works as a surgery technician. She especially enjoys cleaning cat teeth and is looking forward to having more opportunities to assist with feline surgeries. She lives in a house of little old ladies, including 2 dogs and 2 cats. Her soulmate is her Miniature American Shepherd who manipulated the trainer into awarding her the Canine Good Citizen Certification. In her free time, she enjoys crafting of various kinds, making art, reading books, and playing video games. She also volunteers at the Austin Public Library.

Ali

SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR & EVENTS COORDINATOR

Ali is a Fear Free® certified veterinary technician. She started with Spicewood Springs in 2016 and had previously spent time working and volunteering in animal rescue. Ali and her rescues, Lucy and Justine, are inseparable. Ali is passionate about the human-animal bond; In her free time, she is starting an organization that provides temporary shelter and care for pets of people escaping domestic violence.

Chastity

LEAD RECEPTIONIST

Chastity has a long history working with animals, starting back in high school. Shortly after high school, she joined the intake team at a local animal shelter. Her position there helped her realize that she enjoys working with animals and helping educate people about proper pet care. In 2019 Chastity joined us at SSAH where she split her time between kennel technician and receptionist, but she thrived as a receptionist. In 2022 Chastity became lead receptionist. She has a wire haired mixed breed, Bugsy, who is sweet and shy. Chastity enjoys helping people, even if that just means answering questions about basic pet care.

Naomi

KENNEL MANAGER

Naomi started in the veterinary field in 2015, and before that volunteered at the animal shelter in high school. She joined SSAH in 2017 as a kennel technician and became kennel manager in 2021. Her favorite part of her job is meeting and bonding with all the dogs and cats. She has two pugs, Zed and Fiona, and they are the best pugs in the world! When Naomi is not working, she likes to spend time outdoors, attend shows, play guitar, and enjoy the company of her friends and family.

Abigail

Abigail is a technician who has been with the Spicewood Springs family since 2020. She has worked in the veterinary field for over 10 years and has been a cat lover for at least twice as long as that. She shares her home with two personable felines named Boy Cat and Momma Kitty along with Enola June, a rescue mutt extraordinaire. In her free time Abigail likes to spend time with her pets and loved ones, knit, cook, and listen to true crime podcasts.

Allie

Allie grew up in Maine and relocated to Austin in 2012. She has been with Spicewood Springs since 2016, and in 2021 became Fear Free certified. She has an extra soft spot for senior pets. She is currently working toward a degree in veterinary technology, and her favorite subject is clinical pathology. Outside of work and school, Allie enjoys outdoor activities, art, and tending to a small houseplant jungle. She shares her home with three dogs and a cat.

Amanda

Amanda started in the animal field in 1998 and the vet field in 1999. She has been at spicewood as a receptionist since 2016. She’s had cats since she was 13 years old and can’t imagine my life without them. She has two chihuahuas, Dapper Dan and Mouse, as well as two cats, Seven, a 15 year old blue tabby that sings the song of his people regularly and loves stuffed animals, and Mr. Famous Seamus Tiberius Kitty Fantastic, a polydactyly fluffy friend that loves cuddles and hates chihuahuas. In her free time, Amanda enjoys Netflix, true crime podcasts, reading, and she misses Burlesque, Drag Shows, and other Austin Events.

Becca

Becca started out working with animals as a dog trainer in 2012. In 2017 she joined the field of veterinary medicine and in 2019 she joined Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital. She has one dog, Carmel and two cats, Sweet P and Catbot. Becca loves to garden and draw when she’s not at work.  She also loves to train critters, and has worked hard to train her own cats to do various tricks. Both cats can sit, give high fives, and stay- Sweet P has gone above and beyond by learning how to hold things. Becca can and will show anyone who asks photos of this, as she is immensely proud of her cats. :)

Caitlin

Caitlin has been a technician with Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital since 2021. She also works as an esthetician at a local med spa. Caitlin and her husband live in downtown Austin with their pitbull, Maddox, and Penny, a small terrier mix. In her free time she enjoys exploring the local Austin food and music scenes but loves to spend most of her time cuddling up with her dogs at home.

Charlotte

Charlotte helped open Spicewood Springs Cat Hospital in 2021 as a Fear Free® certified veterinary technician. She has an extensive history working with cats, having helped start Texas Humane Heroes feral cat program, and is active in TNR groups. She has 8 cats of her own, Cornbread, Gator, Gus, Henry, June, Matilda, Peppa Bella and Zuzu. Charlotte is passionate about feline education and fear free handling in veterinary and shelter settings. When not working, Charlotte enjoys playing music, reading and exploring the Austin culinary scene.

Doug

Doug has been with Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital since 2015, initially as a kennel technician and now as a veterinary and surgery technician. Doug is a self-proclaimed cat fan, having two cats himself- Levi, a male tabby, and Qi’ra, a black and white rescued street kitten and Doug’s pride and joy. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, camping, drawing, and many, many movies.

Inez

Inez started working at Spicewood Springs Cat Hospital in 2021 and has worked in the veterinary field since 1992. Her two favorite animals are her two cats, Hombre and Senor. Together they enjoy movies, television and music. When not working or hanging out with her cats, Inez can be found shoe shopping or enjoying live music and art.

Jerry

Jerry was born and raised in New York City and graduated from Gallaudet University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He started working with animals in 2013 as a dog walker. In 2020 Jerry joined the Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital family as a kennel technician. He and his wife have two dogs, an American Pitbull Terrier named Zora and a Black Mouth Cur mutt named Xena. Jerry loves hiking, traveling, gaming, and watching horror movies. 

Tamil

Tamil has been in the veterinary industry for over 20 years. She joined Spicewood Springs Cat Hospital in 2021 and became Fear Free certified in 2022. She is originally from Las Vegas and has traveled all around the country. She even lived in New Zealand! She has a sweet, one-eyed, husky mix named Nico and a rescued street dog with a heart of gold named Mathis. In her free time, Tamil enjoys cooking, reading, camping, and spending time with loved ones.

Tammy

Tammy has been with Spicewood Springs since 2012. She has been in the veterinary field since 1998, a registered technician since 2000, and loves what she has chosen for her career path. Tammy and her husband, Ken have an adopted kitten, T’Challa. They enjoy hiking, traveling, Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, and horror films, baking, and playing video games.

Victoria

Victoria started working in the veterinary field in 2019 as a kennel/vet assistant and she first started working with animals in high school when she raised goats and pigs. She joined the Spicewood team in 2021 and she loves how every day is always different and how she is always learning something new. Victoria graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2022. She has a gray tabby cat named Rue that she is obsessed with – so much so that she recently got a tattoo of Rue on her arm. When not at work, Victoria can be found reading, hiking, and listening to Harry Styles 24/7.
